Growth Oriented NYC Residential Real Estate Owner/Manager seeks a Degreed Accountant to perform a wide range of accounting responsibilities.

Position reports to Controller.

Bachelor Degree in Accounting preferred but candidates with exceptional real estate experience will be considered.

Must have residential real estate accounting experience.

Knowledge of project based (HUD/Sec. 8 housing) residential real estate a plus but not required.

Job Description:

- Candidate must have strong managerial skills with the ability to manage the entire financial process for the portfolio from start to finish. Work closely with A/R A/P Sr. Bookkeeper and assist in all aspects as necessary to meet deadlines.

- Prepare monthly accrual basis financial statements for multiple entities.

- Analyze month end general ledger and prepare/record adjusting journal entries.

- Analytical review skills important.

- Prepare bank reconciliations.

- Prepare annual budgets and monitor on a monthly basis.

- Prepare RPIE's, Certiorari's and other special purpose reports.

- Close books at year end, prepare yearend audit schedules, and work with auditors.

- Special Projects as required.

Skyline experience preferred but experience in any other industry related software such as Yardi or MRI will be considered.

Must be proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.
