We are recruiting accounting interns for a leading investment management and investment services company. Headquartered in New York, the firm has trillions in assets under custody or administration.
Job Description
The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of an experienced staff member within the Investment Accounting and Support division to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of the departmental duties. He/She will receive training and perform tasks to become familiar with the line of business and company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
The intern would assist in TA conversion testing. Other tasks would include distributing buying power reports, assisting on bank reconciliations, paydown factor updates and helping with security count audit requests. The candidate would also work on a compliance project to identify fund rules.
Qualifications
* Must be enrolled in a 4-year degree program with GPA of at least 3.0
* Strong leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills.
* Strong communication and organizational skills is a must.
* Work independently and be computer proficient.
* Preferred: previous internship (summer or Co-operative Education) experience.
