Controller (Fairfield County)

• Oversees financial accounting processes, systems, controls and standards to ensure timely financial and statistical reporting provided to management for all countries and legal entities.
• Manage treasury, accounting, tax, audit and governmental activities for non-US entities.
• Manage overall financial plans, operations and accounting practices.
• Review the support received by the management teams on all financial matters: internal controls; reporting; planning and evaluation of business development opportunities.
• Work with the Executive Team to streamline processes, improve controls, increase profitability assess new business and acquisition opportunity.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and improve management reports for the business areas to allow performance management and to give information for decision making.
• Manage the accounting and reporting function to ensure financial transactions are accounted for timely, correctly and with appropriate financial controls.
• Proactively facilitate and coordinate with the present annual budget process. Assist in the development of the Finance strategy.
• Support all countries in forecast, review and analyzing all revenue and expenses.
• Carry out project work (including financial modeling) such as business development initiatives, efficiency reviews as requested.
• Facilitate process improvement, documentation and coordination among the functional groups in the line of business
• Lead enhanced controls project for the group and ensure compliance with corporate objectives
• Work with departments to focus on achieving financial and strategic goals
• Participate in the external and internal audits, as necessary
• Manage and develop staff of 4-5.

Requirements:

• Strong proven experience in management accounting and reporting.
• Strong excel modeling skills
• Strong change agent
• Proven ability to work with managers and senior managers across the organisation
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
• Strong technical analytical skills in financial management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience of working across international boundaries.
• Attention to detail.
• Quick learner on computer and accounting systems.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Proactive and willing to instigate change, and challenge the status quo.
• Must be hands on.
