Start-Up Venture Accelerator PAID ASSOCIATE/INTERNSHIP (Upper East Side)

A new start-up venture accelerator is being started. It is being founded by a well-known founder/chairman of a globally respected network of the world's top technologists (although the focus for this new initiative is not just about sci-tech). It is the very early stages. Initial investors are being gathered (some have already put in some funding). Business plans are being written/refined. Markets are being researched and marketing strategies developed.

A *CRUCIAL* intern/associate is being sought to help in all areas TO START IMMEDIATELY. This will likely evolve over time, pending fundraising and revenue targets being reached, into a more regular contract position and/or job.

Ideal candidates should have experience:

- understanding start-up finance, private equity, angel investments, or venture capital
- researching/writing business plans
- developing marketing strategies (it is very important that we figure out creative ways to reach communities of start-up entrepreneurs)

In addition, it would be helpful if candidates:

- are true self-motivated, "self starters", able to get jobs done due to their own sense of internal drive and pride
- curious about the emerging phenomenon of "crowdfunding"
- passionate about the field of entrepreneurship and start-up ventures, not just starting their own business (as you will be working for a founding entrepreneur, not being the founding entrepreneur)
- comfortable working from home most of the time. (We will probably meet up in person once per week, and otherwise communicate by Skype and email).
- will be able to survive financially on an internship that will possibly not be able to pay much or entirely consistently in the initial 2-3 months (although the goal is, of course, that such will not be the case)
