Investor Relations Research Associate

A leading Global Investor Relations Firm that provides communications solutions to a diverse mix of local, national and global clients, with a specialized focus in Global Transportation, has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, jack-of-all-trades Research Associate for its Midtown Manhattan headquarters.

Responsibilities:
Assist upper management with administrative duties and special projects for client work;
Track industry and client news on major financial networks, websites and databases;
Monitor trading activity for clients and upper management;
Compile and issue industry and sector reports for clients;
Update client websites with client generated news;
Maintain in-house investor portals and contribute to its continued development with new information sources;
Contact key members of the investment community to gather commentary on clients and the market;
Develop written and oral communications such as Chairman's Letters to Shareholders, financial press releases, conference call scripts, speeches, and investor presentations;

Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree and interested in pursuing a career in Investor Relations;
Experience in financial markets is considered a plus;
Strong communication, writing, organizational and analytical skills;
Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to develop press materials and contribute creative ideas to communications plans;
Profound understanding of the role of digital media in integrated communications strategies;
Strong organization and project management abilities; ability to juggle, think quickly and make independent decisions;
A spirit of teamwork; must be willing to roll up sleeves and work in the trenches in an entrepreneurial environment;
A self-starter who is positive, proactive, and resourceful;
Required Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook; Bloomberg Terminals a plus;
