We're recruiting candidates for a full service, boutique investment bank who is looking for a Institutional Sales Trading Analyst to join their team. The firm serves the needs of corporate, institutional and wealth management clients with its team of seasoned professionals, working side by side with company management as a strategic partner to provide advisory services.
DESCRIPTION
The Institutional Sales Trading team works with a diversified client base including: Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Public Corporate Pension Funds, Insurance Companies and other financial institutions. The trading desk works in the domestic OTC and listed markets, portfolio basket trading and program trading. Analysts on this team will learn how a trading desk operates, will become familiar with sales and trading terminology and learn how to properly screen companies and identify trading opportunities. Further, Analysts will have the opportunity to work closely with management teams of various companies, as the firm markets these companies to our institutional investment clients. Job responsibilities include:
* Reconciling trading PLs
* Creating stock universes that match our trading profile and mandates
* Performing due diligence on the companies we cover
* Working with the Corporate Advisory and Corporate Access teams, following their clients' stock movements and news
* Coordinating meetings between our corporate and institutional clients
Requirements
* Minimum 3.3 GPA
* One year of financial sales or similar experience preferred
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills
* Advanced Microsoft Office user
* Familiarity with Bloomberg preferred
