Who We Are:

LocalVox Media Inc sells a marketing platform that helps local businesses publish and promote events, announcements and deals to a range of online channels including NearSay.com, social media channels, email messaging and to their own web sites. Who We Are Looking For:

We are in immediate need of a bookkeeper extraordinary to join the LocalVox family. You will be entering intially on a full-time consulting basis; should you prove successful, you will have the opportunity to grow within the role in our start-up paced environment.

Responsibilities:
General accounting of the company (client invoicing, maintaining and paying receivables, monitoring collections, tracking contract details and insurance policies)
Reconcile accounts, credit card accounts, bank statements and all other balance sheets
Review and analyze the company's revenue and expenditures including budget to actual
Close the books on a monthly basis, and prepare financial reporting packages for VP of Finance and Operations and CEO
Ensure controls and procedures are in place to mitigate risk and ensure the accuracy of the company's reported financial data
Maintain Company and Client records and files
Facilitate compliance and upkeep of all federal, state, city taxes, reporting, licenses and registrations
Payroll processing and reporting (1099, W2s, etc., with payroll company)
Management of time and billing system and analysis (eBillity or other systems)

Candidates Should Possess:
Specific experience in A/R required
3 + years in operations, AP/AR, finance preferred
Knowledge of modern accounting suites: QuickBooks, Ebillity, MS Excel, Office, etc.,
Ability to plan, execute and deliver on projects and tasks in a timely manner
Quick learner
Must be able to self motivate and work both independently and as a team player
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to be concise and communicate effectively and professionally to clients, partners and staff
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong organizational and analytical skills
High ethical standards
Prior positions where your role had accountability for the majority of accounting functions
Previous experience with marketing, PR agencies, or small business environment a plus!
Bachelors Degree Required
