Finance Manager for Marketing Agency (SoHo)

Job Description:

The Finance Manager will report directly into the agency's Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for maintaining and promoting the overall financial health of this bustling creative agency. In addition to providing financial insight and managing and coordinating financial transactions, this person will oversee all agency-wide financial systems and will help in developing and streamlining all fiscal protocols. The team member will also be responsible for accurate recording of all financial operations for bookkeeping purposes. (A deep understanding of Quickbooks is an absolute must for this position, though the agency is looking to transition systems during 2012, so the Finance Manager will also be asked to help lead this process.)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Supporting the initiatives of the business by providing both proactive and reactive financial insight, analysis and perspective.
Creating year over year financial models.
Developing systems to streamline fiscal operations.
Overseeing the annual agency budget.
Conducting and/or overseeing all bookkeeping and recording for tax purposes.
Tracking expenditures and employee expenses.
Managing accounts payable and receivable departments.
Maintaining a fully updated accounting system.

The ideal candidate will:

Demonstrated proficiency in providing accurate financial analysis in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Have significant experience with bookkeeping and financial planning.
Be familiar with systems of fiscal responsibility and management.
Be able to think creatively about a variety of challenges and apply their organizational and managerial skills accordingly.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required.
Proficient in QuickBooks and other accounting systems.
